This is my pride and joy in the stamp series. Why? Because it came out the best. Why? Because I spent the most time on it. Why? Because I did it first. Why? Because shut the hell up. Sorry, that was just getting annoying. But yes, this is the cat bus from Hayao Miyazaki's My Neighbor Totoro. I wouldn't say that it's his BEST film, but it has always been one of my favorites. Which is probably why I did these things in the first place. This particular stamp is also 4"x5", and contains watercolor and ink. But unlike the others, it also has some Gouache thrown in there. Yeahhhhhhh. There are a lot of mistakes, and I tried my best to match the colors to my painting, but they're still a bit off. All in all though, this took me about 30 hours, which is ridiculous for a watercolor painting of such a small size. If anyone's curious, I mostly used a wet-on-wet technique for this, which is another reason why there are a lot fewer obvious problems with it than the others. What can I say, after doing this, I got a bit lazy.
~snuggles up in the cat bus~... why can't we really have those... catbus has go to be the most comfterble form of transportation... you did very well... I love it.
Man I opened this and said... "Cat... bus?" I've never seen the movie so I don't even know what to base this thing on. Looks good, though. Looks kind of like the Cheshire cat in grin and markings.

Also, the catbus has balls. Totally inappropriate for a children's movie. Tsk tsk on Miyazaki.
